Every order is baked fresh to order at our bakery in Akron, Ohio — nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Baking takes 5–7 days, and your order ships the day after it comes out of the oven. If you selected Rush Baking, we get your order our the next baking day (usually 1-3 days).
The shipping option you chose at checkout covers transit time only, so it starts the clock once your package is handed to the carrier, not when you place the order. You'll get a tracking email the moment it's on its way.
Each brownie is individually wrapped and packed to travel, then shipped via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Our brownies are built to handle the trip — the three-layer design and thickness keep them good for up to a week in transit. In warm weather they can arrive a little soft or slightly melted; that's normal and doesn't affect the taste. Pop them in the fridge for a few hours and they'll firm right back up. No signature is required for delivery, so if you have a preferred spot for packages, leave a note with your carrier.
Usually not. Once your package leaves us, it's in the carrier's hands, and scans can go quiet for a day or two because of high volume, weather, staffing shortages, or a missed scan along the route. Delivery can happen anytime between 8am and 8pm depending on your local driver. If your tracking hasn't moved and it's been more than a week since your order shipped, email us at hello@buckeyebrownies.com with your order number and we'll chase it down with the carrier.
Email us at hello@buckeyebrownies.com with your order number and photos of the package and contents, and we'll help sort it out. If you added Order Protection at checkout, you're covered for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit — we'll get a claim started and a replacement moving. Without that coverage, we're limited in what we can do once a package leaves our bakery, since we can't control how carriers handle it. All sales are final, but we'd still rather hear from you than have you sit with a bad order.
Our original brownies contain wheat, dairy, eggs, and soy, and the Mr. Buckeye flavor also contains peanuts. We offer gluten-free and vegan options — our gluten-free brownies are made with a gluten-free flour blend but are not certified gluten-free, because we bake in a facility that also processes wheat, peanuts, and dairy.
